The new head coach of the North London club Ange Postecoglou is a fan of the defender and thinks that the 22-year-old is a long-term solution for the problems in the Spurs defense, which conceded 63 goals in the past campaign.
The Premier League side and the Bundesliga side front offices had a positive talk, so the chance of the transfer happening in the next few days is very high.
The Dutch defender plays as a centre-back or left-back and played 41 matches for the German team in the last 2 years.
Tottenham are also keen to add Rosario Central forward Alejo Veliz, for whom they must pay around 15 million dollars.
