Tyson Fury may step into the ring against Anthony Joshua before completing his trilogy with Oleksandr Usyk, according to his manager Spencer Brown. Speaking to Sport.de, Brown revealed that Fury is expected to return to action next year, potentially even before the end of 2025, with the Joshua bout now a real possibility.
Fury’s third and final showdown with undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk is officially set for April 18, 2026, at Wembley Stadium in London. However, Brown hinted that the long-awaited all-British clash with Joshua could come even sooner.
“We’re planning a warm-up fight for Tyson next year, maybe this year. I don’t know who, nobody knows yet. Tyson has to make his wish known first,” said Brown. “But everything points to him coming back next year. I think the Joshua fight could come first, before the third with Usyk.”
Fury, who boasts a professional record of 34 wins (24 by knockout), one draw, and two defeats, lost his WBC world title to Usyk in 2024. The Ukrainian handed him back-to-back losses in a seven-month span, ending Fury’s four-year reign as WBC champion.
