British boxer Tyson Fury recently addressed Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, the undisputed world heavyweight champion, with a bold statement about their upcoming rematch.
Fury said he needs to secure a knockout victory, expressing his belief that winning by a judges’ decision would be challenging.
“I will have to knock him out because I can’t win by a judges’ decision. It’s unfortunate because just winning a fight is already a tough task, let alone doing it early. But I am confident and looking forward to the challenge. I heard his jaw and eye socket are broken. Oleksandr, get yourself in shape. See you in December,” Fury was quoted as saying by journalist Michael Benson.

Fury’s comments come amid a turbulent period for him, highlighted by a video from June 11 showing him being escorted out of a bar in an intoxicated state. This incident followed his loss to Usyk on May 19 in a fight for the undisputed world championship held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The highly anticipated rematch between Usyk and Fury is scheduled for December 21, once again in Riyadh.
