USA trashed France 9-0 at Tampere Deck Arena for their 6th straight win at the 2023 IIHF World Championship.

United States had no mercy tonight in Tampere and humiliated France after scoring them 9 goals for 60 minutes.

Cutter Gauthier (19), who plays for Boston College Eagles, scored 4 goals. Drew O’Connor (Pittsburgh Penguins) notched 2 goals for the victory. The other goals were netted by T.J. Tynan (Los Angeles Kings), Scott Perunovich (St. Louis Blues), and Rocco Grimaldi.

The USA hockey team is in 1^st place in Group A after being undefeated after 6 matches, but 2^nd placed Sweden still hasn’t lost a game so far as they are in the same group. The USA will play against Sweden on Tuesday in their final clash in the group.
