The British boxer showed much more power and skills, but the world No.1 proved his worth once again

Oleksandr Usyk successfully defended his unified world heavyweight titles with a unanimous decision victory over Tyson Fury at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.

The 12-round bout showcased shifts in momentum, with both fighters displaying moments of dominance. Ultimately, Usyk outmaneuvered Fury, with all three judges scoring the fight 116-112 in favor of the Ukrainian champion.

From the opening bell, Usyk demonstrated his ability to close the distance against Fury. Although the “Gypsy King” avoided the mistakes of their previous encounter by using skilled footwork to stay off the ropes, Fury managed to control the second round, landing several heavy punches that failed to fully connect.

Usyk found his rhythm in the third round, targeting Fury’s body and exploiting defensive gaps with quick, straight punches. Fury countered with a powerful left hook that momentarily unsettled Usyk, but the Ukrainian remained composed and effective with counterattacks. As the fight progressed, Fury began to tire, allowing Usyk to land clean shots, including a series of punches to Fury’s face. While Fury responded with an uppercut and other counters, he struggled to sustain momentum.

In the later rounds, Usyk intensified his pressure, capitalizing on Fury’s waning energy and occasional reliance on illegal tactics to disrupt the Ukrainian’s flow. The final round saw Usyk dominate with his speed, precise combinations, and relentless activity, leaving Fury unable to regain control.

Though Fury showed resilience and finished on his feet, Usyk’s superior strategy and accuracy secured a clear victory, maintaining his reign as the unified heavyweight champion.
