Virgil van Dijk is set to miss Liverpool’s upcoming clash in the Europa League against Toulouse, sources confirmed.
The reason is illness and he is expected to return for Sunday’s clash in the Premier League against Brentford.
“Virgil is a little bit ill,” manager Jurgen Klopp said.

“It will not be a big thing but we did not want to have him on the plane, if some others have it as well.
“I have it a little bit but for me it is not a problem, that’s why we left him at home. He should be absolutely all right for the weekend.”
Liverpool are looking to secure a place in the knockout phase and they will do so with a win in France. So far their campaign in the Europa League has gone smoothly with 3 win in the first 3 games.
