Jarred Vanderbilt and the Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to a 4-season, 48-million-dollar extension, as which means that the forward future is secured several weeks before the beginning of the practice camp.

The new contract includes a player option for the final year.
Jarred was acquired from the Utah Jazz in interesting trades by the GM Rob Pelinka near the exchange deadline last campaign and was crucial in the team’s late-campaign push to the play-in tournament through the West Conference finals.
The forward (24) averaged more than 7 points, almost 7 boards, and more than 1 steal in 26 matches (24 from the 1st minute) after becoming part of the Lakers. LA manager Darvin Ham, in most cases, put him to guard the opposite organization’s best offensive player.
He is the 5th Lakers player to ink a multiyear extension after the end of the past season after Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves, D’Angelo Russell, and Rui Hachimura did the same.
