The conversations between referees and video assistants at Italian Serie A matches will now be made public as an experiment, the Italian Football Federation announced, as quoted by DPA.
An agreement has been reached with the streaming portal DAZN and conversations will not be listenable in real time, but will be fully accessible after each meeting.
The Italian Football Federation wants to use this to show how difficult the decisions are made by the referees, despite the video replays and the checking by the assistants. “We want as much transparency as possible,” said federation president Gabriele Gravina.
Serie A will be publishing conversations from the most discussed/controversial VAR incidents each week
This will be their way to provide referee transparency for viewers. It will be primarily aired on DAZN.

Many times VAR decisions are confronted by the fans, who think that mistakes are made very often. It is expected that more top-leagues in Europe will also use this option to make the game more transparent.
