Venus Williams has received a wild card for the singles in Wimbledon, which will see her make 24th appearance at the elusive event.
Williams is a five-time Wimbledon champion and participated in the 2017 final, 20 years after her debut on the crass-court.
The 43-year-old is currently ranked 697th, but she was able to defeat 48th-ranked Camila Giorgi in 3 sets 7-6 (5), 4-6, 7-6 (6) at the Birmingham Classic. As a result she was given a wild card entry.
Next up on the road for Williams is Jelena Ostapenko at the Wimbledon warm-up event.
Ukrainian Elina Svitolina and British Heather Watson and Katie Boulter were the other players given a wild card entry.
Wimbledon begins on July 3.
