Verstappen continues dominance at Silverstone in second free practice

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finished Friday the way he started it – with the fastest time. The reigning two-time world champion was also best in the second free practice ahead of Sunday’s British Grand Prix.

He left Ferrari and Williams drivers Carlos Sainz and Alexander Albon behind him as the Williams driver continues to amaze with his pace this weekend.

The top 10 was completed by the second from the first session – Sergio Perez with Red Bull, Logan Sargent (Williams), Lance Stroll (Aston Martin), Nico Hulkenberg (Haas), Pierre Gasly (Alpin), Oscar Piastri (McLaren) and Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin).

The problems for Mercedes continued in the second practice as well – George Russell was 12th, and the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton was only 15th. Charles Leclerc with Ferrari did not set a time in the second session due to electrical problems.
