Max Verstappen made a serious statement on his Nürburgring GT3 debut, storming to dominating victory in the Nurburgring race this weekend alongside Chris Lulham. He declared his ambition to one day tackle the legendary 24 Hours of the Nurburgring.

While many Formula 1 drivers spent the rare free weekend away from the track, Verstappen chose to try another challenge. Partnering Lulham in the Emil Frey-run Ferrari 296 GT3, the reigning world champion delivered a masterclass in round nine of the endurance series.
Starting from third on the grid, Verstappen wasted no time stamping his authority on the race. A bold late-braking move at Turn 1 saw him sweep past both cars ahead, and from there he was untouchable. After two hours behind the wheel, he had built a commanding 62-second advantage before handing over to Lulham, who completed the job to secure a dominant flag-to-flag win.
“It was great,” Verstappen told RacingNews365. “The first two stints went really well. The car performs well on a dry track, I already knew that from qualifying. We didn’t make any big mistakes, and to win here on our first attempt is obviously fantastic.”
