Max Verstappen was left with no words as he was unable to give an explanation to Red Bull’s disastrous qualifying, which saw both cars eliminated in Q2.
The Milton Keynes team has been the benchmark this season, winning all of the 14 races, but their streak seems to be running to an end as they face a mountain to climb from P11 and P13 with a car that has struggled for grip and balance. The Marina Bay circuit is also known for its very difficult overtaking.
Asked if he feels they could improve on Sunday, Verstappen replied:
“I don’t think we’ll be able to do much,” he replied. “Around here, it will most likely be a one-stop race if nothing crazy happens. Passing, you need to be a lot faster and I don’t think we are. So, a very shocking experience.”
