Max Verstappen clinched the Italian Grand Prix at Monza with relative ease to bag his 10th straight win, something that no one before him has done.
It was a relatively tame start from the Dutchman, who slotted behind the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz from the start. But the reigning champion was all over the Spaniard as the first stint went deeper and deeper, forcing Sainz into a mistake on Lap 15 and taking the lead.

From there on Verstappen never looked back as he established a comfortable lead, leaving the other to settle the fight for the podium places.
After the pitstops, the Red Bull of Sergio Perez looked much better with the hard tires as the Mexican hounded the Ferraris.
Initially, he passed Charles Leclerc, before clearing Sainz in the closing stages after a ferocious battle. That secured the Milton Keynes team a double victory, their sixth of the season and on Ferrari’s home soil.

The top 5 was completed by the Mercedes of George Russell, who never really had the pace to be considered a threat for the front runners.
