Max Verstappen secured his 7th win in the current F1 season today at the Qatar Grand Prix and overcame Oscar Piastri into 2nd place, only 12 points behind the leader, Lando Norris. Oscar is 16 points behind his McLaren team-mate with only 1 race left until the end of the campaign.
Piastri finished 2nd, while Carlos Sainz secured the last place on the podium today.

The current leader in the championship finished 4th as he added 2 points that can be crucial after a late pass on Kimi Antonelli, who crossed the finish line 5th, George Russel was 6th, while Fernando Alonso finished 7th, 1 place higher than he began the race.
Verstappen shared after his triumph that it was an incredible race for him and his team: “We made the right calls as we entered the box under that safety car, and in the end, that was the key moment that allowed me to win today. I’m very happy to top the Qatar GP and to be able to fight for the championship until the end, as I will do everything possible to win Abu Dhabi also.”
