Oliver Bearman finish 7th in his Formula 1 debut, Leclerc puts Ferrari on the podium

Max Verstappen clinched victory in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on Saturday (March 9), marking his ninth consecutive Formula 1 triumph.

Starting from the pole position, Verstappen maintained control of the race from the beginning to the end. His Red Bull teammate, Sergio Perez, secured the second spot, making it his second consecutive runner-up finish, while Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc claimed the third position.

In a one-off appearance for Ferrari, Oliver Bearman substituted for the unwell Carlos Sainz and achieved a commendable seventh place in his Formula 1 debut. Bearman joins the select group of F1 rookies who have earned points on their debut, making him the first British driver to accomplish this feat. Bearman’s impressive performance earned him the title of Driver of the Day.

The next event in the 2024 F1 season is the Australian Grand Prix, scheduled to take place at the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit on Sunday, March 24.
