Bismack Biyombo is coming back to San Antonio as the veteran center has agreed to a one-year deal with the Spurs, according to ESPN’s insider Shams Charania.
Biyombo, who turned 33 in August, featured in 28 games for San Antonio last season, averaging 5.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Biyombo is rated highly for his steady presence under the basket and will once again add valuable depth and experience behind rising superstar Victor Wembanyama.
The Congo native, selected seventh overall in the 2011 NBA Draft, has played for lots of franchises across the league. He’s taken the court for the Charlotte Bobcats and Hornets, Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City Thunder and the Spurs. Over 867 games, Biyombo has averaged 5.1 points and 5.9 rebounds.

His standout campaign came with the Raptors in 2015-16, when he played all 82 games and pulled down a career-best eight rebounds per night.
