Colts discharge the quarterback after 1 season.

The Indianapolis Colts decided to release quarterback Nick Foles after 1 year.

Nick, who had been 1 of the 4 QBs on the team, was not necessary for the franchise after they decided to draft with the 4th overall pick Florida QB Anthony Richardson.

Gardner Minshew and Sam Ehlinger keep their places at the club.

Indianapolis changed their QBs last year to look for something better, but the franchise finished with a 4-12-1 record. Matt Ryan, Ehlinger, and Foles had their opportunities as starting quarterbacks for the Colts.

Nick, who started 2nd game in Week 18, got injured in the rib and was substituted by Ehlinger.

Former Indianapolis head coach Frank Reich took the veteran to be 2nd choice QB after Ryan as the two of them won the Super Bowl with Philadelphia Eagles in 2017. However, the manager was released after only 9 matches.
