The Golden State Warriors will sign 12-time All-Star Chris Paul, ESPN reported on Thursday.
Golden State will take the 38-year-old Paul from the Washington Wizards team, where he was sent a few days ago in the Bradley Beal deal from his former club, the Phoenix Suns.
In exchange for Paul, Washington will receive guard Jordan Poole, 20-year-old guard Ryan Rollins, as well as two future draft picks – in the first round in 2030 and in the second round in 2027.

Chris Paul, averaged 13.9 points, 8.9 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game during the 2022-23 season.
The 24-year-old Poole, who has been a key player off the bench for Golden State the last two seasons, finished the campaign with averages of 20.4 points, 4.5 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game. Before it started, however, he was involved in a fight with teammate Draymond Green during practice, an issue Green identified as key to the Warriors’ second-round exit from this year’s playoffs.
Despite his highly successful individual career, Chris Paul has never won an NBA title and has only made one Finals appearance – in 2021 with Phoenix. Meanwhile, Poole was instrumental in Golden State’s 2022 title, the Warriors’ fourth in eight seasons.
