The defensive end was cleared today for contact, but the coaching staff and the medical team want to test him 1st in training before putting him on the field in an official match.
The DE was hurt after 4 plays in the August 11 preseason clash against the Browns. He has trained ever since, but the doctors forbidden him to participate in contact.
A few days ago, Young spoke to the media and said he is fine and ready to play. The 2nd selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, played only 3 matches last campaign after returning from a torn ACL.
Chase’s deal expires after this campaign. Commanders declined to pick up his 5th-year option after the end of the past season.
