The Netherlands have secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Republic of Ireland in their Group B clash on Saturday night.
It was a pretty level-headed game with both teams having chances, but in the end Ronald Koeman side prevailed.
An early goal from Wout Weghorst after a brilliant run cross was all it took for the Netherlands to edge out in front and they never looked back from there.

The visitors did try to fight back, but they lacked sharpness in the last third and finished the match with only one shot on target.
Victory cements the Netherlands second place in the group with 15 points out of possible 21, 3 more than third-place Greece. They only need a draw or failure from the Greeks to win to guarantee themselves a spot in the Euros next summer.
