Wembanyama plans to play in Summer League

Victor Wembanyama shared his intentions of playing in the Summer League as part of his preparation of making the long-awaited switch in the NBA as the No.1 pick.

After his Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans were defeated by Monaco, the 19-year-old gave an interview, where he said he is planning to play ‘a little bit’ in the summer.

Reports on Wembanyama’s availability have been contradictory with SpurTalk.com pointing out that the players appearance in the Summer League is ‘unlikely to happen’. The report also said that the team expects Wembanyama to train sparingly in the summer period.

Two days later, however, a different report stated that San Antonio are ‘hopeful’ that the youngster takes part in the Summer League.
