Team USA star Steph Curry admitted feeling nervous before his Olympic debut with the USA national team in their victory over Serbia in the first round of Group C of the tournament.
“Everything is about everyone on the team being ready to do what is asked of them, because each game will be a little different,” Curry said.
“You could choose five of us 12, and we’re talking about a Hall of Fame lineup. We just have to play like that. We’re still trying to build our identity around who we are. It’s important to stay focused not just on winning but on how we achieve those wins.”
USA men’s basketball team coach Steve Kerr didn’t use all his players in the game against Serbia, with Jayson Tatum and Tyrese Haliburton not seeing any playing time. Kerr confirmed that Tatum will play in the team’s second match against South Sudan on Wednesday.
