The Hammers advanced to the next round of the Europa League after the huge win.

West Ham United trashed Freiburg 5-0 in London and advanced to the ¼ finals of the Europa League. The German side won the 1st leg 1-0 in Germany but failed miserably in the 2nd leg in England’s capital.

Lucas Paqueta gave the Hammers the lead after only 9th minutes after Tomas Soucek’s assist. Jarrod Bowen doubled his side’s lead in the 32nd minute, and the London team had a 2-0 lead after the 1st half.

Aaron Cresswell netted at the beginning of the 2nd half in the 52nd minute after Jarrod Bowen’s assist as the Hammers continued to dominate at their stadium and Mohammed Kudus made 4-0 in the 77th minute leaving no doubt which team will advance to the next phase of the tournament.

That wasn’t all as Mohammed Kudus scored his 2nd goal in the match in the 85th minute to make it 5-0.

The reigning Conference League champions will have the chance to win the more prestigious Europa League as they are among the last 8 teams in the competition.
