Other franchises have reached out to San Francisco, but the organization declined to trade him.
The wide receiver’s request comes 7 days before veterans are slated to report to the 49ers training camp and about 3 weeks after Brandon and San Francisco met in Santa Clara to talk about the situation. NFL Network 1st reported Aiyuk’s request.
With 1 season remaining on his rookie deal, the WR has been seeking a big-money extension in line with those of other wideouts who have secured the bag in the current offseason, such as the Eagles’ A.J. Brown, Lions’ St. Brown, and Eagles’ DeVonta Smith Dolphins’ Waddle.
Brandon (26) is set to make over 14 million dollars this year, the 5th and final campaign of his rookie deal.
