Minnesota fine run of form continues as they improve to 16-1-4 in their last 21 games

The Minnesota Wild beat Colorado Avalanche 4-2 on Wednesday night.

Two short-handed goals from Frederick Gaudreau, along with one from Marcus Johansson and Sam Steel were sufficient for the Minnesota team to see off Colorado. Goaltender Filip Gustavsson made 39 saves.

The Wild now establish themselves as firm leaders in the Central Division, three points ahead of Colorado and Dallas.

Bowen Bryer and Lars Eller scored for Colorado, who registered only their 10th loss in their last 34 games. Goaltender Alexander Georgiev finished the game with 5 saves.

The Avalanche won the last two meeting between these two sides, but unfortunately for them, this time they came short.

Next up on the road for Wild is a trip to Vegas on Saturday night, while the Avalanche face Dallas at home also on Saturday.
