Zion Williamson is physically healthy again but is not yet mentally ready to return to his team and be on the court.
The forward of the New Orleans Pelicans said today that when he feels like himself again, he will rejoin the franchise and play.
Zion last played on January 2 and spoke at the press conference before the play-in between New Orleans and Oklahoma City Thunder.
“It’s been frustrating,” Williamson said. “Not going to lie to you. It’s been very frustrating. Not being able to play sucks. But I mean, things have gotten better. Things have gotten a lot better.”
“For those people that think I just wanna sit on the sideline just to sit over there.. I don’t know why people think that.”
