The Kansas striker has undergone a successful injury
Sporting Kansas City striker Willy Agada is set to miss the next three months after undergoing a successful surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left tibia, the club announced on Monday.
Agada is expected to return somewhere around late July-early August.
The 23-year old has joined Kansas last June and has bagged 9 goals and two assists in 21 games. He became the club’s golden boot winner in 2022.
Manager Peter Vermes said that Agada has unknowingly played with the injury, which has worsened without any visible symptoms.
The news is another blow to Kansas ambitions as they currently find themselves amidst an injury crisis.
