Follow usToto Wolff has emphasized that he is doing everything he can to make Lewis Hamilton sign a new contract with Mercedes.
Hamilton’s future has been a hot topic in the last couple of months after the 7-time world champion deal expires at the end of the year.
Some have even linked him with multi-million deal with Ferrari.
But nothing definite has emerged yet and negotiations seem to have hit a brick wall.
“Well I very much hope so,” said Wolff when asked if he thought Hamilton would stay. “I’m doing everything I can to make him stay.”
Wolff and Hamilton have shared a brilliant collaboration, seeing them clinch 6 Drivers and 8 consecutive Constructors titles, which has never been done before.
However, Mercedes of 2022 and 2023 pales in comparison to their championship winning years and that might be something, which would eventually drive Hamilton off the team
