The Wolves chairman said that owners Fosun are very engaged in the project.

Wolverhampton chairman Jeff Shi shared a letter to the fans claiming that the Premier League’s club owners from China are committed to taking the organization to the next level.

He also added that they don’t want to sell the side, which ended in 13th place in the league in the past campaign.

However, Shi claimed they couldn’t spend much money during the current transfer window because of the financial fair play.

“Wolverhampton Wanderers is a long-term project and an important 1 for Fosun,” the chairman wrote.

“When we were in the 2nd tier of English football, when we were in the pandemic, when we’ve gone to all kinds of unexpected situations, on or off the pitch, Fosun have always done their best to help us.”

The Chinese owners bought the team in 2016 while playing in the Championship.
