The Spanish manager is undefeated this season
Xabi Alonso started his coaching career at the professional level with flying colors. He is leading Bayer Leverkusen for a second season and already achieved incredible results, bringing his team into the battle for trophies.
Bayer Leverkusen defeated Qarabag 1-0 in the Europa League on Thursday, reaching a club record.
Alonso is now the first manager in the history of the Leverkusen club to win 11 games in a row, counting all competitions.
This season, Bayer are still unbeaten, with 15 wins and one draw in 16 games, and are in first place in both the Bundesliga and the Europa League. In those 16 games, Alonso’s team scored 55 and conceded just 14 goals.
