Manchester United’s shaky campaign has taken another twist with the dismissal of Ruben Amorim, which gives Kobbie Mainoo a chance to return to the starting lineup, as before that, it seemed that the midfielder would leave this month on loan. The Red Devils forward, Dwight Yorke, gave advice to Mainoo not to leave the team at Old Trafford and to do everything possible to show his worth to the team.
It has been very turbulent for Kobbie Mainoo since the start of the campaign, as he had started under Erik ten Hag and was part of the English squad at Euro 2024, but was benched since the arrival of Amorim. That suggested that Kobbie would leave during the winter transfer window on loan and seek more playing time, but now things are different after the Portuguese head coach was sacked.
“Would I go on loan in his position? I would never leave Man United to go on loan,” shared Yorke about Mainoo’s situation. Dwight added that even as he was young, he never left the Red Devils to go on loan and proved his worth at Old Trafford.
