Yoro, Sancho start in Man Utd preseason victory

New player Leny Yoro played his 1^st match for Man United in their 2-0 preseason victory against Rangers.

The 18-year-old began from the 1^st minute on the pitch, several days after his almost 68 million dollar transfer from Lille. Jadon Sancho too, started for the Red Devils in what was his 1^st game for the team since returning from his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund.

Erik ten Hag selected a squad that featured a lot of 1^st team footballers at Murrayfield, including André Onana, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Jonny Evans, Casemiro, Mason Mount and Amad. However, Antony, Victor Lindelöf, and Marcus Rashford didn’t play against the Rangers because of injuries.

Amad scored the 1^st goal in the match to give the Red Devils a lead at halftime as the Dutch manager replaced all 10 outfield footballers at the half, bringing on a host of academy footballers for the 2^nd half. It was 1 of them – Joe Hugill — who doubled the Red Devils’ lead with a powerful shot in the 70^th minute.

It was Manchester United’s 1^st victory during the preseason after their 1-0 defeat against Rosenberg in the past week.
