Liverpool produced a win over Manchester United for the history books. At Anfield they demolished their rival 7-0.
After a scrappy first 40 minutes Casemiro’s headed goal was ruled out for offside, before Cody Gakpo gave Liverpool the lead with a composed finish from inside the box, giving the home side the lead.

Shortly after half time Liverpool quickly doubled the lead. A dinked cross from youngster Harvey Elliott saw Darwin Nunez unable to miss from close range. United visibly imploded from there, quickly conceding a third.
Just minutes later Mohamed Salah and Gakpo combined superbly, before the Dutch forward applied cheeky lob which beat David de Gea.
Salah added forth goal with 25 minutes to go, as the Egypt international smashed in a howitzer of an effort to become the first Liverpool player to score in six consecutive appearances against Manchester United. Nunez was next to score after a cross and beautifully executed header.
Salah and Roberto Firmino refused to slow down and added number six and seven.
