Jannik Sinner also continues in London and could face the Spaniard in the semi-finals

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are each just one match away from a highly anticipated rematch in the Wimbledon semifinals.

On Sunday, both players advanced to the quarterfinals with impressive performances. Alcaraz, the defending champion, overcame a spirited challenge from Ugo Humbert, securing a 6-3, 6-4, 1-6, 7-5 victory on Centre Court. Sinner, currently ranked number one, defeated Ben Shelton 6-2, 6-4, 7-6 (9) on No. 1 Court, saving four set points in the third set to clinch the win.

Alcaraz previously triumphed over Sinner in a thrilling five-set match during the French Open semifinals in June, en route to his first Roland Garros title.

Should they both win their next matches, they are set to meet again in the Wimbledon semifinals. Alcaraz will face the winner of the match between No. 12 seed Tommy Paul and Roberto Bautista Agut, while Sinner, the Australian Open champion, will takeNo. 5 seed Daniil Medvedev.
