World number 3 Carlos Alcaraz survived and defeated world number 29, Frances Tiafoe, 3-2 sets and advanced to the 1/8 finals of the Grand Slam on grass in London.

The American tennis player won the 1st set after converting 2 breaks from 6 chances compared to 1 break from 2 opportunities for his Spaniard opponent.
However, Alcaraz won the 2nd set comfortably 6-2 but Tiafoe secured the lead again after triumphing in the 3rd set 6-4.
The most competitive set in the match was the 4th as both tennis players didn’t have any break opportunities and the set was decided after a tiebreak as Carlos won it 7 to 2 points to tie the sets again.
Alcaraz played better in the 5th set and closed it 6-2 for his comeback triumph at Wimbledon as both players spent almost 4 hours on the court as Carlos will continue to seek defense of his title.
