The Red Devils manager, Ruben Amorim, has hit back at the Reds’ counterpart, Arne Slot’s criticism of his tactics after their match over the past weekend. The Portuguese head coach became the 1st Manchester United manager since Louis van Gaal to defeat Liverpool at Anfield and was swift to react to his opponent’s comments.
Before the Red Devils’ next game in the EPL vs. Brighton, Ruben wants to keep the good momentum and build on that.
Slot criticized Amorim about the way the Red Devils defended deep, hit Liverpool on the break, and knocked balls long into the box or into channels.
However, Amorim doesn’t seem to care a lot about Arne’s comments and shared that the match against Liverpool is already in the past: “Our last game is already in the past. I don’t want to talk about the match against Liverpool. This is not important.”
The Portuguese boss revealed that he only thinks right now about the Red Devils’ next opponent in the Premier League: “The victory against the Reds was important, but I first admitted that we must improve our game despite the win. That’s why I don’t care what Slot is sharing.”
