The Gunners are only 2 points behind the 1st place Liverpool.

Arsenal won against Liverpool 3-1 in London in a match that will be remembered with huge mistakes from both sides.

Bukayo Saka scored the opener to give the home side the lead in the 14th minute, but Liverpool tied the match in the extra time of the 1st half after a huge mistake from Saliba and David Raya that led after to an own goal from Gabriel.

However, the Reds decided to do the same thing, and after a huge misunderstanding between Alisson and Van Dijk, Gabriel Martinelli received the ball against an empty net, and the Brazilian netted to give the Gunners the lead again.

Ibrahima Konate received his 2nd yellow card in the 88th minute and left Klopp’s side with 10-man until the end. Leandro Trossard, who replaced Martinelli in the 74th minute, scored between Alisson’s legs in the extra time to secure the victory for Arteta’s team and close the gap to the 1st place in the Premier League to 2 points.

That was Liverpool’s 1st defeat in 12 games across all tournaments as the Gunners ended a 3-match winless run vs. the Reds.
