However, the Reds decided to do the same thing, and after a huge misunderstanding between Alisson and Van Dijk, Gabriel Martinelli received the ball against an empty net, and the Brazilian netted to give the Gunners the lead again.
Ibrahima Konate received his 2nd yellow card in the 88th minute and left Klopp’s side with 10-man until the end. Leandro Trossard, who replaced Martinelli in the 74th minute, scored between Alisson’s legs in the extra time to secure the victory for Arteta’s team and close the gap to the 1st place in the Premier League to 2 points.
