Arsenal ink Guimaraes from Newcastle in 75 million pound transfer

Arsenal have inked Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United for 75 million pounds.

The ex-Newcastle captain told his former club that he wanted to join the Gunners at the beginning of the summer.

Bruno, who is 28 years old, has inked a 4-year contract with the option for an additional year, shared that leaving Newcastle was 1 of the toughest decisions of his life.

“This transfer is very tough because I love the Magpies,” the Brazilian revealed. “But I wanted to experience something new in my career. I feel ready to try new things in life, both professionally and personally.”

The Brazil midfielder left the Magpies’ training camp in Spain a few days ago to finalize his transfer to Arsenal after a breakthrough in discussions between the clubs.

Bruno shared with the media that he had received messages from many of his new teammates, including fellow Brazilian Gabriel and Declan Rice.
