Brooks signs 3-year extension to remain with the Suns

Phoenix Suns star Dillon Brooks agreed to a 3-season, 73 million dollar deal extension through 2029-30.

Credited with being a key player for establishing a new culture in the Suns, Dillon is coming off the best campaign of his 9-year in the league. Brooks averaged a career-high over 20 points with almost 4 boards, and almost 2 assists for a surprise 45-victory postseason organization.

In addition to extending Dillon’s contract, Phoenix inked Collin Gillespie, Mark Williams, and Jordan Goodwin to multiyear deals and also brought Miles Bridges and Luke Kennard.

Dillon has become an important part of Phoenix’s 2-way, hard-nosed culture under manager Jordan Ott and landed a new, fully guaranteed long-term contract. The franchise’s CEO, Josh Bartelstein, and GM Brian Gregory negotiated with his agent over the past few weeks on an extension to keep the forward on the team and out of next year’s free agency.

Phoenix owner Mat Ishbia made it a priority to reenter the luxury tax to keep his best players on the team + new basketballers for growth in the upcoming campaign. At the beginning of the year, Mat expressed the Suns’ commitment to Dillon.
