Arsenal will pay almost 55 million pounds for Villa’s defender Konsa

Mikel Arteta’s side agreed a deal for more than 50 million pounds to ink Aston Villa star Ezri Konsa.

The English defender is set to complete his tests before his transfer to North London becomes official.

A few days ago, Arsenal had reopened discussions with the Villains over the transfer of Ezri, but there were still some disagreements about the price. Then the North London club tried to get Jarell Quansah from Bayer Leverkusen before returning to the table to talk with Villa about Konsa.

That worked, and now it is a matter of hours before the deal between the two Premier League sides is official.

Konsa, who signed with Aston Villa during the summer of 2019, has played 286 games for them in the last 7 years.

Ezri appeared in 48 matches in the past campaign in all tournaments, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist, as Aston Villa won the Europa League and finished 4^th in the EPL to secure UCL football this season.

Konsa didn’t play for Villa during the pre-season as he received extra vacation after the World Cup.
