The Spaniard was linked with taking the job at Camp Nou after Xavi's decision to leave at the end of the season

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed his dissatisfaction with the comments linking him to a potential departure from the Gunners in June to join Barcelona, especially after it was revealed that Xavi would not be leading the Catalans in the next campaign.

“Fake news! Absolutely fake news! I don’t know where this is coming from; it’s totally untrue. I’m genuinely disappointed with the situation. I couldn’t believe it. There’s no source, nothing,” stated Arteta during his press conference ahead of his team’s match against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

Several names, including Hansi Flick, are being considered for the position of Barcelona’s head coach, with the Spanish specialist currently at the helm of Arsenal. Some rumors even suggest that Jose Mourinho could take the wheel at Camp Nou, despite being former Real Madrid coach.
