Arteta praises his player for 1-1 draw at Anfield

Mikel Arteta has heaped praise on his Arsenal players after holding on to a 1-1 draw at Anfield.

The result meant the Gunners remain top of the table at Christmas, a much needed boost for their title aspirations.

“It was an unbelievable game. One of the most intense I’ve seen in 20 years,” Arteta said. “For the players to show the courage and determination, it is a big credit to them.”
