Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Thomas Partey’s fitness condition does not look to bright as the 30-year-old might be forced to the sidelines until December.
The defensive midfielder seemed bulletproof under Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid, but has struggled with injuries at the Emirates.
His last appearance came against the 1-0 win over Manchester City, when he came on as a substitute. The 30-year-old suffered from a hamstring injury in training, leading up to the Sevilla clash in the Champions League.
According to reports, Partey may not feature until the beginning of December, which is a major concern for Arteta.
“I think that he will be out for weeks,” the Spaniard said.
“It is a big concern because, when Thomas is fit and available and he’s been part of the team, we have seen what the results and the impact that he has on the team.”
