Cale Makar scored a goal and had an assist on his return. Nathan MacKinnon also had a goal and an assist, while J.T. Compher added another one to the Colorado’s tally. Goaltender Aleksander Georgiev made 17 saves.

Colorado currently sit third in Central Division’s standings with 90 points, two behind leaders Dallas and one behind second-placed Minnesota with a game in hand.

For Arizona Clayton Keller was the sole scorer, while goaltender Karel Vejmelka made 28 saves for Arizona’s second successive defeat.

Coyotes host Colorado on Sunday, while Avalanche visit Arizona also on Sunday.
