Man United can soon sign a 3rd midfielder since the beginning of the summer transfer window.
The club from Old Trafford has already signed Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans to replace the departed Casemiro. However, an additional midfielder can still arrive as the directors of the club want squad depth as the Red Devils return to the Champions League.
The Seagulls star Carlos Baleba has the highest chance to be that midfielder as the Brighton footballer is keen to play for Manchester United.
“If Man United want to buy Baleba, they can do it easily by paying what Brighton demands for the midfielder, as he is in a scenario like Youri Tielemans, where he shared he only wants to join the Red Devils, and that is still valid. So if they reach an agreement with the Seagulls, personal terms will not be a hurdle,” a journalist close to the club revealed.
In the past, Manchester United tried to buy Baleba for 75 million pounds, but failed. The Seagulls are only expected to sell the midfielder, who has a deal until 2028, for around 100 million pounds and it’s stil unclear if the club from Old Trafford would be willing to pay that much.
