Chelsea have reached an agreement with Aston Villa to ink Morgan Rogers in a transfer worth 117 million pounds.
The midfielder picked the Blues over the Gunners after being enticed by the project under new manager Xabi Alonso.
Rogers will become the Blues’ most expensive footballer in the team’s history. The fee is set to eclipse the previous British record of 116 million pounds, which the Sky Blues agreed to pay to Nottingham Forest for Elliot Anderson.
Only 3 years ago, the team from Stamford Bridge paid 106 million pounds for Enzo Fernandez, but now they will go even higher for another midfielder.
