Despite the financial struggles, Barcelona are optimistic of inking a new world-class striker to replace Robert Lewandowski, with Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane 1 of the attackers being considered. Robert has only a few months left on his existing deal and is expected to leave the team as a free agent after the end of the campaign, as the Catalan team doesn’t plan to offer him a new contract.
The chiefs of Barca have no worries that in the summer they would be able to sign a top forward despite the financial situation at the club. The Catalan giants want, as their number 1 option, Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez, as their dream option. Erling Haaland is unrealistic after the forward signed a 10-year deal with Manchester City.
If they can’t land Alvarez, Barca will try to go for Kane, Osimhen, or Guirassy.
Yamal, however, wants Lewandowski to stay in Barcelona as the relationship between the young superstar and the veteran striker is strong. However, there is a very slim chance that would happen, as Lewandowski is wanted by AC Milan if he becomes a free agent in the summer.
