Barcelona are considering the possibility of signing Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, Fichajes reports.
Catalans’ head coach Xavi has been impressed by the performance of the 23-year-old Swede and wants to see him in his team. The English club is likely to demand more than 70 million euros if Barcelona open negotiations.
The Swedish footballer has been playing for Newcastle since 2022 when he was signed from Real Sociedad. This season Isak played 4 matches and scored 2 goals. His contract runs until the summer of 2028 and according to the Transfermarkt, the market value of the player is 70 million euros.
Couple of years ago legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic said that he sees Isak as his heir in the national team and as a representor of the Swedish football worldwide.
