Raphina, Lamine Yamal and Lewandowski shine once again, contributing for all four goals

Barcelona sent a powerful message to the rest of Europe with a dominant 4-0 demolition of Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. The Catalan giants were relentless from start to finish, effectively sealing the tie with a breathtaking all-around performance.

Barça opened the scoring in the 25th minute through a well-executed set piece. Fermin Lopez whipped in a free kick, Inigo Martinez nodded it back across goal, and after Pau Cubarsí’s attempt was blocked, Raphinha tapped it in from close range to make it 1-0.

Dortmund had a golden opportunity to respond in the 36th minute, but Serhou Guirassy failed to make contact cleanly when one-on-one with Szczesny — a miss that proved costly.

Only three minutes after the break, Barça struck again. A brilliant sequence saw Fermin Lopez find Lamine Yamal, whose deep cross was headed across goal by Raphinha into the path of Robert Lewandowski, who couldn’t miss. 2-0.

Barcelona continued to attack. In the 63rd minute, Fermin Lopez hit the post after a quick counterattack led by Pedri.

The third goal came in the 72nd minute. Lewandowski scored his second of the night with a calm finish after another assist from Raphinha. Five minutes later, Lewandowski passed to Raphinha, who played a perfect through ball to Lamine Yamal. The young winger stayed composed and scored with a low shot to make it 4-0.
