Barcelona are planning major changes for next season, and one of the key developments is the upcoming contract extension for their rising star, Lamine Yamal.
The club intends to secure the 17-year-old forward with a new deal that will run until 2030, along with a substantial pay raise.

Thanks to a recent La Liga regulation, Barcelona can register Yamal’s new contract without facing salary cap issues. The rule allows players under 24 to renew their contracts without salary restrictions, as long as they have been with the club for at least three consecutive seasons—a requirement Yamal already fulfills.
Alongside the new contract, Yamal is also set to inherit Barcelona’s iconic No. 10 jersey, previously worn by legends like Lionel Messi and Ronaldinho. The switch to the No. 10 shirt is expected to be made official after July 13, when Yamal turns 18.
